1. Information We Collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service. Depending on how you use the site, we may process the following categories of information:

• Content you submit. When you generate tags and titles, you enter a video topic or paste a competitor video URL. This input is processed in memory to produce your results and is not written to a database or retained after the response is returned.
• Technical logs. Our servers record standard request information such as IP address, request time, requested path, browser user agent and response status. These logs are kept for 7 days for security, abuse prevention and capacity planning.
• Waitlist email. If you choose to join the early access list, we collect the email address you provide. It is used only to send you the launch notice you asked for.
• Anonymous usage events. We record event names, the page path, a device type (mobile or desktop), the length and language of your input, and a timestamp. These events never include the raw text of your topic, the full competitor URL or your email address.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to generate your tags and titles, to return suggestions and scores, to keep the service stable and available, and to understand in aggregate which features are useful. We also use short-lived technical data to enforce request limits and to detect automated abuse.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use your input to build advertising profiles, and we do not share your topic or URL with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not set advertising cookies and we do not use third-party tracking cookies. The site stores a small number of values in your browser to remember your preferences and to avoid showing the same notice repeatedly:

• vidrank_usage — a count of successful generations in this browser, used to decide whether to show the early access notice.
• vidrank_waitlist_submitted — records that you joined the waitlist so the notice is not shown again.
• vidrank_waitlist_dismissed — records that you closed the waitlist notice.

We also use vidrank_sid in sessionStorage. This is an anonymous session identifier generated locally with crypto.randomUUID(). It exists only for the current browser session, expires automatically when you close the browser, and is never written to localStorage or to a persistent cookie. We use it solely to group anonymous events that belong to the same visit. It is not used to recognise you across sessions, devices or websites.

You can clear localStorage and sessionStorage at any time through your browser settings. Clearing these values may cause the site to show the early access notice again, but it does not affect your ability to use the generator.

4. Third-Party Services

This site does not include advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, social plugins or data brokers. Our hosting provider processes requests on our behalf and may keep standard server logs under its own security obligations. If we introduce a service provider in the future, we will update this policy and require safeguards consistent with this document.

5. Data Retention

Submitted topics and URLs are not persisted after your request completes. Server logs are retained for 7 days and then deleted or aggregated. Anonymous usage events are aggregated and kept without identifiers that could reasonably identify you. Waitlist email addresses are retained until the early access notice has been sent and you unsubscribe, or until you ask us to delete them.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at the address below. Every waitlist email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove your address at any time.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will describe it clearly on this page before it takes effect. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
